College recognizes international students

As students enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal on November 15, the International Student Organization at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School recognized all of the international students on campus.

International students attending SCCC/ATS this year are Salitza Abrantes, Riccardo Bassani, Felipe Cruz, Marina Dias, Lucas Izkovitz, Antoine Freitas Jr., Iago Goncalves, Laercio Lobo, Raphael Machado, Cristiano Mendes, Leticia Monteiro, Leonardo Moraes, Donnersson Penna, Rafael Raw, Daiane Souza, all of Brazil; Jillian Dickson, Michelle Duford, Keegan Hucul, Taylor McDougall, Garret Smith, Blaire Taylor, Christina Wright, all of Canada; Carlos Dorado, Columbia; Maria Muehlfeld, Germany; Gregory Leung, Tak Yee Leung, Leo Yu, all of Hong Kong; Hanna Bognar, Hungary; Hodan Ali, Kenya; Anete Kirsteine, Latvia; Lanre David Aderoju, Oluwasegun Ajay,i Idowu Esomojumi, Kazeem Salami Opeyemi Salami, and Oladele Togbeola, Nigeria; Sandri Munoz, Paraguay; Ndeye Binta Diaw, Senegal; Darren Liebenberg, Matthew Maguire, Justin Pena, and Jan Strydom, all of South Africa; Modou Badjie, The Gambia; Dariya Dashutina, Ukraine; Katiuska Adarmes, Francisco BolaƱos, Diego Cruz, all of Venezuela; Dung Nguyen, Ha Nguyen, and Tot Nguyen, Vietnam; Wesam Assi, West Bank; and Nathan Nelmes, Australia.

The college also recognized students from the Colvin Adult Learning Center, which includes the countries of Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Somalia, Sudan and Vietnam.
